TestPath is a utility designed to check the files recorded to a CD-R.

One of the most common methods still to transfer data from computer to computer is by disc, be it CD or DVD. Some files are too large for emailing, and sometimes you don't want to use a USB storage because you might not get it back! So you rely on discs. However, how can you be absolutely sure all the data has been correctly written to that disc? It could be very important data for your business. In these cases you need TestPath. As you can probably tell from its name, TestPath is a utility designed to check the files recorded to a new CD-R(RW) or DVD+/-R(RW), checking and comparing them with the original.

TestPath reads all the files in the source path and its subdirectories and then compares them (byte by byte) with the files in the destination path. If anything is amiss the program will tell you of any missing files in the destination path, or of any files with differences. It also offers other comparisons, like comparing by file time or a fast comparison.

With TestPath check you can see that everything has ended up correct and you can avoid unwelcome surprises later when errors stop the recorded files from working.

So there you have it. If you want to make absolutely sure that any files you write to a disc are there are functioning correctly, then you need a program like this TestPath. And best of all is that you can download it for free! What are you waiting for?
